Happy Friday!

So today I'm going to fore go the silliness in favour of some shameless promotion. Again this Saturday 3 other artists and myself will be at the Tyendinaga Township Public Library for our holiday art show to raise money for the 'Art for Literacy' program. I highly recommend attending this show not just so you can buy some absolutely fantastic art, but also because a portion of those sales goes right back into the library to help with purchasing books, creating and maintaining children's programs and keeping the library running among other things.

There's also a raffle going on as part of the event (the draw is on Dec. 20th) for two prints, donated by myself and the library's art coordinator, Cynthia Guthrie, and an 8x10 inch original donated by Saga Sabin. Again, the proceeds from the raffle are going straight back into the library so it's a win-win situation! The show is comprised of smaller works, 8x10 inches and under, and there are also gift cards and matted prints available all of which make excellent Christmas gifts (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

So if you're in the area be sure to stop by, chat with the artists, support the Art for Literacy program either by purchasing some art or a raffle ticket and go home with a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling that you did something to help further literacy in the community during the holiday season.

Have a great week-end and I'll be back in December!!

Thanks Meg and Brenda!

Lisa, thanks! One of the reasons I did this wolf was because of the colours, lots of scrumptious blues and ochres!
